Mark Siegwald

Mark Siegwald is a Senior Consultant with decades of experience in insurance, restoration, and building consulting. His career began as an insurance adjuster with Liberty Mutual, where he spent more than ten years developing expertise in property claims and damage assessment. He later transitioned into the restoration industry, working with one of the nation’s largest restoration companies before moving into independent building consulting and eventually joining a national consulting firm.

CAREER

Today, Mark serves as a Senior Consultant with Bower Building Consulting, where he helps insurance carriers, contractors, and property owners navigate complex property loss situations. His work includes assessing damage from natural disasters, fires, floods, hurricanes, and other catastrophic events; developing accurate scopes of work; auditing and reviewing estimates; negotiating contracts; and ensuring restoration projects are completed fairly and effectively. Known for his attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, Mark helps clients avoid both overbuilding and corner-cutting while ensuring appropriate reserves and competitive pricing.

EDUCATION

Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies from Northern Illinois University and has earned several respected industry certifications, including IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD), Water Restoration Technician (WRT), and Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) certifications. His specialized training and extensive field experience make him a trusted expert in property damage evaluation and restoration consulting.

Life Outside Work​

Outside of his professional life, Mark is a lifelong athlete and outdoor enthusiast. Soccer has been a major part of his life since childhood, leading to a scholarship opportunity at Northern Illinois University and club soccer experiences in both England and Mexico. He is also an avid angler, active member of the Rock Valley Anglers Club, and enjoys both ice fishing and open-water fishing in freshwater and saltwater environments.
 
In addition, Mark is a passionate hunter and golfer who values time spent outdoors and the discipline, strategy, and camaraderie these activities provide.
